Jumping In Wherever You Are Needed

So our first full day at Scooby turned out to be an eventful one. Like most shelters there are far more things to do then people to do them, but at Scooby there are so many dogs for such a small facility it seems worse then any shelter I have been too before.
I started the day off pretty normal, cleaning dog pens and filling water buckets, but next thing I knew I was in the clinic helping out while 2 dogs had surgery. Then a little sweeping of the clinic followed by an emergency run for dog food.
Scooby is pretty much at capacity for dogs so having enough food is one of their biggest issues. I personally will be sending food back when I get home, but if you'd like to help with their much needed food issue a monetary donation with an earmark for food would be greatly appreciated. Go to www.scoobymedina.org to learn more about how to donate.
After all the craziness of the day some good old fashioned dog love was what I needed. This is my new friend pictured here. He is a very sweet young lab who actually will be going to a home in Germany . He is one of the lucky ones.
